The Progressive Green Tariff (PGT) for thermal energy offers industrial users a reliable, low-carbon alternative to fossil-fired boilers. Our model ensures that renewable heat and steam remain cost-competitive, transparent, and predictable throughout the project lifetime.
The base tariff for thermal energy is benchmarked against conventional boiler fuels such as Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and coal. This ensures that renewable thermal energy maintains economic parity while delivering measurable decarbonization benefits.
The PGT model applies a tiered pricing structure designed to reward higher utilization and long-term commitments:
Small steam users – Priced competitively against HFO-fired boilers, allowing SMEs to transition affordably to clean energy.
Medium to large users – Receive progressive discounts as contracted steam tonnage increases, improving efficiency and cost savings.
Estate-scale or industrial-park networks – Benefit from anchor tariffs optimized for centralized heat supply and continuous load operations.
Tariffs are reviewed quarterly, indexed to the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO) published HFO reference price.
To ensure long-term predictability:
Escalation follows the actual market movement of reference fuels.
A cap mechanism is applied to prevent excessive volatility and protect customers from sharp fuel price swings.
Cap & Floor System – Annual tariff changes are contained within pre-defined limits, maintaining cost stability while ensuring project viability.
Public Indices – All escalation data are derived from official Thai sources (EPPO for energy prices, MOC for CPI), allowing customers to verify every adjustment independently.
Traceable Green Supply – Each ton of steam supplied is accompanied by a renewable energy and carbon-reduction certificate, ensuring full compliance with EU CBAM, RE100, and corporate ESG reporting frameworks.
